“Control” is a song written in a moment of desperation and loneliness. The track stares directly into the abyss of existence, the deep awareness that one day, you will die, and the refusal to accept that truth. It questions the meaning of it all: what is the point if everything eventually comes to an end?

There’s a sense of resistance running through it, you keep raging and screaming
because you want to hold on, to stay longer with the things you love. But the silence of the abyss is deafening. It never answers, never reassures. And in that silence, you’re forced to confront a harsher reality, ultimately, you are alone, and no one is reaching out a hand to tell you everything will be alright. There is no hand, there’s just you and the void.
